Unwanted Solicitors Found On Multiple Floors Of Building: Blotter
While police were responding to complaints of one pair going door-to-door, they found others: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS

Jesus Manuel Garcia, of Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 19.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

Hulises A. Pozo, of Wheeling, is accused of driving on a revoked driver's license, and was arrested Jan. 24.
BATTERY
Carly Lynn Harris, of Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated battery, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a credit/debit card, theft, and was arrested Jan. 25.

INCIDENTS
SOLICITING COMPLAINT
Police responded to the 0-100 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road at 12:58 p.m. Jan 18, following a 911 call regarding soliciting. They found two men in an apartment building soliciting residents for energy services. They were asked to leave. Police then saw two different people doing the same on a different floor of the building. They were also asked to leave. The complainant said they are willing to have the solicitors cited for trespassing if they return.
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee of Woodman's Grocery, 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway, called police at 11:56 a.m. Jan. 20, to report a customer loaded a shopping cart with $73.37 in merchandise and exited the store without paying. The customer told police they thought they paid. They were issued an adjudication ticket and were also told they're not welcome back to the store.
- An employee of Woodman's Grocery, 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway, reported at 6:50 p.m. Jan. 25, a woman scanned and bagged seven items and left the store without paying for them. The total value of the items was $28.83. The employee found the woman's car on the store's CCTV and gave the license plate information to police. The employee requested the woman pay for the items in lieu of being charged with retail theft. After being confronted by police, the woman raised her voice, but lowered her voice when told the store only wanted her to pay for the items.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
Two Harris Drive residents reported at 12:38 p.m. Jan. 20, two unknown men came to their respective doors looking for mail before leaving together in a U-Haul box truck. Both told police they had not received any unexpected mail.
