Woman Robbed After Duo Follow Her Home From Bank: Wheeling PD

WHEELING, IL — A woman, who had just used a bank ATM, was injured while being robbed at her home Wednesday after two subjects followed her there. According to Wheeling police, the incident occurred at around 2:02 p.m. in the 500 block of W. Dundee Road.

The victim, who sustained minor injuries, said the pair followed her home after the bank visit in a dark-colored Infiniti SUV. After pulling into the parking garage of her building, the offenders appeared, pushed her to the ground, and stole property, including cash.

Police said similar incidents have been reported recently at several suburban locations and the case remains under investigation.

Police warn residents to be aware of their surroundings, especially when visiting or leaving banks and ATMs.
