When and how did your business get started?

We opened in 1997 as a general rental center for homeowners and contractors. We started with tools, equipment and a few tents, tables and chairs. The tool and equipment rental grew until the economic downturn of 2008. At that time, we began to grow the party side of the business, adding large tents, inflatables and specialty event items.  

What is your business best known for?

Our business is very seasonal. Through the winter, we offer pipe and drape, tables, chairs, linens, PA systems, etc. for business expos and holiday parties. For indoor projects, scaffolding, tile saws, flooring nailers, and floor cleaning tools. Spring brings lawn and garden equipment, aerators, dethatchers, rototillers and augers.

Summer is party season, tents for 20 to 200, inflatables for jumping, jousting, racing and sliding, coolers, fans and dance floors. Fall is time to finish up outdoor projects with Bobcats, excavators, sod cutters, aerial lifts, chippers and air compressors. We offer truck and trailer rentals, too.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business? 

We opened our business in Channahon because the Chanooka area was growing and in need of our service. We live here with children in local schools and we've always believed in supporting the community in which we live. What better way than to open a business in our community. Our tax dollars stay here and we are able to employ many area residents.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We love talking with our customers about their projects and parties to help them figure out what they need to be successful. We know that the job is easier with the right tool and a successful party is all about the planning.
