10 March For Our Lives Events In Illinois: Find Out Where
Here's when and where activists will be gathering to demonstrate against gun violence.

On Feb. 14, a gunman took 17 lives in the latest mass school shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida. The tragedy has galvanized many of the nation's young people, sparking school walkouts and calls for new gun control laws. On Saturday, organizers will host the March For Our Lives in Chicago, and at least nine other events will happen across Illinois. Similar events are scheduled throughout the country, but here's what's happening here in Illinois:
- Chicago – 11 a.m. at Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St.
- Northwest Suburbs – 9 a.m. at 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg
- Glen Ellyn – 10 a.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, 380 Greenfield Ave.
- Downers Grove – 11 a.m., at Downers Grove North High School, 4436 Main St.
- Oswego – 11 a.m. at at Oswego High School, 4250 IL Rt. 71
- Vernon Hills – 11:30 a.m. at Hawthorn Middle School South, 600 N. Aspen Drive
- Huntley – Noon at Route 47 and Mill Street
- Elgin – Noon at the downtown Elgin Public Library parking lot, 270 N. Gove Ave.
- Woodstock – 1 p.m. at Woodstock Square, 121 W. Van Buren St.
- Frankfort – 2 p.m. at Kansas St. & White St.
The Chicago March For Our Lives event is expected to draw more than 30,000 people. In response, Lyft is offering free rides to participants of the event, which begins with a rally at 11 a.m. at Union Park, followed by a march through the surrounding neighborhood and back to Union Park. Lyft is also offering rides at events in other major cities.

Students Across Chicagoland Walkout To Protest Gun Violence
"The voices for the March for Our Lives are those of the generation that grew up with mass shootings," march organizers said in a statement. "This is the sound of millions of voices across the country pleading for change — we say enough. End the violence."
