The 20 Best Elementary, Middle Schools in Illinois: Report

Quality education gets started at an early age.

With that in mind, Niche.com, a website dedicated to analyzing data to provide information on the best neighborhoods and schools, releases a list each year of the best schools in the country and state and includes the best elementary schools and middle schools.

The site’s 2017 best schools' lists came out in recent weeks and has ranked the best elementary school in the state as Meadow Glens Elementary School in Naperville, which is within Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and has named Kennedy Junior High School in Lisle, which is also a part of District 203, as the best middle school in the state.

The top ten best elementary schools, according to Niche.com, were either in Naperville -- with seven of the schools topping its list -- or in the Barrington-area. In addition, five Naperville middle schools were ranked in the top ten in the Niche.com rankings, with Scullen Middle School in Naperville coming in at No. 2 on the list. Other top middle schools were in Aurora and Barrington.
