Bill Daley To Run For Chicago Mayor: Reports
Bill Daley, the brother and son of former Chicago mayors and President Obama's Chief of Staff, is making a bid for Chicago mayor.

CHICAGO, IL — Bill Daley, the former White House Chief of Staff under President Obama, is running for Mayor of Chicago, according to reports. Daley, whose brother and father also served as Chicago mayors, is aiming to replace Rahm Emanual, who announced he will not run for a third term.
Daley plans to make the announcement Monday that he will join the pool of over a dozen candidates for the office.
"He's definitely announcing on Monday," a spokesman for Daley said, according to the Chicago Sun Times. "And he is in to win."

Daley's competition will include Garry McCarthy, Chicago's former top cop; Dorothy Brown, the Cook County Circuit Clerk; businessman Willie Wilson; Lori Lightfoot, formerly president of the Chicago Police Board, and lots more candidates.
Emanuel said it was time to "pass the torch" in a press conference on Sept. 4.
