State Cops, Feds Shot at by Car Passenger Near Midway Airport
UPDATED: Four arrests were made Monday after Chicago police combed a West Lawn neighborhood for the shooter.
CHICAGO, IL — A car passenger shot at federal and state law enforcement officers Monday about a half-mile from Midway Airport, according to the Chicago Tribune. No one was hurt in the shooting.
The shooting happened at about 9:25 a.m. in the 6100 block of South Kolmar Avenue, the report stated. The car carrying the shooter was abandoned near 67th Street and Kostner Avenue, and police searched the West Lawn neighborhood with a helicopter, dog units and SWAT teams, the report added.
Four arrests were made about an hour after the shooting, the report stated. The FBI is investigating the incident, the report added.

The law enforcement officers were part of an FBI-Chicago task force that was working on an investigation in the area, according to the report.
