Don’t wait—start your Cinco de Mayo celebration early this year! The colorful, high-energy parties begin May 1 at Moe’s Cantina River North (155 W. Kinzie St., Chicago; 312-245-2000) and May 2 at neighboring Tree House (149 W. Kinzie St., Chicago; 312-477-3983). Chicago’s go-to restaurants for colorful, high-energy festivities, these gathering spots are perfect places to eat, drink, and commemorate this annual Mexican milestone.
Moe’s Cantina and Tree House are part of the Third Coast Hospitality Group, led by sisters Korina and Samantha Sanchez. “Cinco de Mayo is very special and personal for us,” said Korina. “We simply love this celebration and so we put our best foot forward to showcase colorful, festive décor and high-energy music, paired with our great food and drinks. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo from Wednesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 5 at Moe’s Cantina River North (155 W. Kinzie St., Chicago; 312-245-2000). The restaurant will be festively decorated all week; it will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and at 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Cinco de Mayo week specials include a $30 Margarita Flight (any flavor) and Patron Margarita Towers, normally $80, will be only $60.

Tree House (149 W. Kinzie St, Chicago; 312-477-3983) will add its colorful décor and delicious Italian-inspired food and drink to the Cinco de Mayo celebration, Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 5. The spirit of Mexico will also be present throughout the week. Specials include $8 Palomas, $8 Margaritas and a $60 Patron Tower. Also, appetizers will be half-priced during the week.
Enjoy uniquely crafted pizzas—Neapolitan-style and Detroit-style—plus a delicious collection of Italian-inspired bar classics.

The Detroit-style pizza is very popular and delicious at Tree House.
