Funeral Service Set for Carolyn Rush, Wife of Congressman Bobby Rush
Visitation and funeral service to take place for Carolyn Rush, wife of Congressman Bobby Rush, this Saturday, March 25.
CHICAGO, IL -- Congressman Bobby L. Rush released the details for his wife’s funeral, which is set to take place this Saturday.
Carolyn Rush, 67, passed away on Monday from congestive heart failure. Mrs. Rush had been ill for several months and was being treated at University of Chicago Hospital. She was a community activist, precinct captain and a political strategist for many campaigns.
The congressman and Mrs. Rush had been married for almost 30 years. They had a blended family of seven children (one son is deceased) and 11 grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Rush will be held Saturday, March 25, at Freedom Temple COGIC, 1459 W. 74th St., Chicago. Visitation will start at 10 a.m., with the service to immediately follow at 11 a.m.
