Looking at Beverages with Bevin

I interviewed Victoria Cheri Bennett about Beverages with Bevin her new show on Tubi.

Who is Bevin? And why is she having beverages with so many people?

Bevin is Victoria Cheri Bennett's character from ADULTish. Bevin, a young reporter based in New York, sounds similar to Bennett, also a reporter based in New York, transplanted from Houston. Bennett is also an actress, singer, writer and more, including a comic con veteran (a fact we discussed in our interview). Earlier this week, I interviewed Victoria Cheri Bennett (or was it Bevin?) to get the scoop on her and Bevin and those beverages.

Bevin is the alias of Bennett, who is hosting Beverages with Bevin, the newest fandom talk show. As a comic con veteran (yes, we determined she is a comic con vet), she interacted with many creators, celebrities and others. Beverages with Bevin is the natural extension of her comic con activities. Art imitating life and Bennett is a natural at it.

Although rooted in fandom, Beverages with Bevin is aimed at casual fans as well as ultimate geeks. Bennett describes it as Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee meets The Graham Norton Show. The beverage creates a casual, relaxed atmosphere, making it more fun for the guest, the viewer and Bennett.

After giving a brief bio, Bennett gave me all the info on her new show. With 50+ guests on its first season, its plan is quite ambitious, but so is Bennett. As a veteran of comic cons myself, I know of many of Bennett's guests and I assure you the lineup is amazing. There are all sorts of creators, celebrities, staffers and more. Bennett casted a wide net to cover all areas.

Before closing, I turned the tables on Bennett and asked her what beverage I would have. Despite just meeting me and me reversing the concept, Bennett indulged me with a solid guess. Although I just met her, that didn't surprise me. She is quirky, fun and fast on her feet, all of which make her a great interviewer and Beverages with Bevin a great show.

Beverages with Bevin is available on Tubi. First season episodes include San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, Comic-Con International and more. I am super impressed with every aspect of the series. Of course, I had to ask her about comic to a comic con in Chicago. I am happy to report that and a lot more is in the works.

I love what Bennett is doing with Beverages with Bevin. Comic cons have so many layers and are so pigeon-holed at times. Bennett approaches this with the proper respect, while still keeping it fun and light-hearted. There's a whole world involved in comic cons and Bennett (or Bevin) is going to explore it and share it with all.
