Man's Body Pulled From South Branch Of Chicago River: Police

CHICAGO, IL — The body of a man was pulled Wednesday from the South Branch of the Chicago River, according to authorities.

Emergency personnel responded around 4 p.m. to the 2800 block of South Eleanor Street in Bridgeport for a report of a body in the water and recovered the remains, police said. The body was floating in the river, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Detectives are investigating, police said.
