CHICAGO, IL — A newborn baby is among five people who were taken to the hospital following a shooting and car crash in Auburn Gresham Saturday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

The shooting occurred in the 7900 block of South Wood Street, where a man opened fire near where a man, 40, a woman, 37, plus two more women and a newborn baby were inside a car, reports say.

The victims' car flipped over and hit two parked cars as they attempted to flee the scene, according to ABC7.

One of the men and one of the women were hospitalized with a gunshot wound and a graze wound, respectively, NBC5 Chicago reported.
