Suspect In Metra Shooting Turns Himself In: FBI
A 40-year old man is accused of firing a rifle from the Metra train platform at McCormick Place, authorities said.
CHICAGO — The FBI said a suspect in a shooting at the McCormick Place Metra station earlier this month has turned himself in.
Shawn A. Kimbrough, 40, of Chicago, turned himself in Monday morning to face charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a firearm owners identification Card and reckless discharge of a firearm in Cook County circuit court, Metra officials announced Monday evening.
A spokesperson for the FBI's Chicago field office thanked the public for all their tips regarding the shooting, which left no one injured and was witnessed only by security cameras.

Last week, the FBI released security video from the morning of Dec. 1. It shows a man walk unsteadily down to the train platform before pulling a collapsible rifle from a backpack, loading it with a single bullet and firing it over the tracks.

Kimbrough is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Chicago for a bond hearing.
