'Unruly Passenger' Forces Chicago-to-China Flight to Land in Japan
The United Airlines flight was only in the air 12 hours before the disruption.
An "unruly passenger" forced a Hong Kong-bound, United Airlines flight originating from O'Hare International Airport to be diverted to Japan, according to the Chicago Tribune.
United Flight 895 took off after 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, and the Boeing 777 was only in the air for 12 hours before landing again in Japan, the report stated. The flight touched down at around 6:30 p.m., local time, in Tokyo, the report added.
A United spokesman did not provide details about how the "unruly passenger" was disruptive and why the plane needed to land in Tokyo, the Tribune reports. No one was hurt in the incident, according to the report.

The flight was carrying 241 passengers and 15 crew members, the report stated. It eventually made it to its original Hong Kong destination, the report added.
