Crete Public Library Returns to Curbside Services

To fight the rise in COVID-19, Crete Public Library has closed their building to the public at this time. Library service will continue to be provided through Curbside Delivery and assistance by phone between 10 am - 6 pm on Monday-Thursday and 10 am - 4 pm on Friday and Saturday. Curbside Delivery services include more than just picking up library materials; help with photocopying, printing, scanning, and faxing is also provided. Notarizing of documents -available on a limited basis only- can be arranged through calling in advance for an appointment. While computer appointments are not currently available at the library, the Information Desk can provide information about other options for accessing a public computer in the area, including locations, fees, and hours. If home internet access is needed, the library has mobile hotspots for checkout to Crete Public Library cardholders.

A schedule of virtual programs for all ages can be found on the Events Calendar at www.cretelibrary.org. Self-serve curbside activity kits will remain available outside the front door, weather permitting, while supplies last.

This holiday season, the library will continue to collect mittens, hats, and scarves for the Mitten Tree project. Items can be placed in a marked bin outside the front door. The library will also be a drop-off location for the Angels on Assignment Toy Drive from December 1-10. Please use the library’s Curbside Delivery service to give these donations directly to a staff member.
