Facebook Threat Draws Police Presence at Sauk Village School
The poster threatened to "kill all of the students during seventh period" on Monday.

Police squad cars were stationed outside of Rickover Junior High School in Sauk Village Monday morning after a threat to kill students was posted on a child’s Facebook page.
School officials said the comment, posted late Saturday night to the social media network, threatened to “kill all of the students during seventh period” on Monday. An alert was sent to all parents by phone on Sunday and police were called.
Community Consolidated Schools District 168 Superintendent Donna Leak told the Chicago Sun-Times, “We immediately moved on it and contacted police.” Leak told WGN News that the post appeared to be from a student.
