New President and CEO Named at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields

Franciscan Alliance’s Board of Trustees has named Raymond Grady as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields and its South Suburban Chicago Division. He will begin his duties in Olympia Fields on July 18, 2022.

“Ray Grady is a seasoned healthcare executive and strategic leader who has influenced the growth and success of numerousorganizations including multi-hospital systems, teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and safety net organizations,” said Kevin D. Leahy, president and CEO of Franciscan Alliance, Inc. “He has a demonstrated track record leading multidisciplinary teams, interacting with clinical professionals, and partnering with the community. He is experienced in governance, operational management, and the education of healthcare leadership.”

Mr. Grady has an extensive and accomplished career leading healthcare administrations for more than 40 years. He has served as the president and CEO of Northshore University Health System’s Evanston Hospital, Evanston, Ill.; chief administrative officer of Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, Wis.; CEO of Methodist Hospitals in Gary and Merrillville, Ind.; and, most recently, as a senior advisor with Juniper Advisory, Chicago. Mr. Grady has served on the boards of the American Hospital Association, Illinois Hospital Association (former chairman), Indiana Hospital Association, Northwest Community HealthCare, University of Cincinnati Health Care, Association of University Programs in Health Administration, and Institute for Diversity in Health Management.

“Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, and the patients it is privileged to serve, will benefit from the visionary leadership and broad experience that Mr. Grady brings to Franciscan’s healthcare ministry,” Leahy said.

In addition to serving as the president and CEO of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, Mr. Grady will become a member of Franciscan Alliance’s senior leadership team that advises and guides the twelve hospitals and multiple clinics that comprise Franciscan Alliance’s healthcare ministry.
