PSC Speech Team Brings Home Fourth Place Honors and Individual Awards

The Prairie State College (PSC) speech team brought home team fourth place honors, Novice Sweepstakes, and several individual awards.

The Prairie State College (PSC) speech team brought home team fourth place honors, Novice Sweepstakes, and several individual awards during the tournament held at Moraine Valley Community College earlier this month.

Daniel Blewitt of Crete was named tournament champion for inter-squad improvisational speaking. Kelly Crescenzo of Steger was named tournament champion for persuasive speaking. DaQuawn Bruce of Riverdale received second place for novice informative speaking and fifth place for novice impromptu speaking. Patrick Sheard of Dolton received fourth place for novice informative speaking. Destin Patton-Warner of Riverdale received second place for novice speech to entertain. Allysha Nobles of Park Forest received fifth place for novice prose interpretation and sixth place for persuasive speaking. Colin Gallagher of Homewood received fifth place for persuasive speaking.

The team was coached by PSC Professors Dave Naze, Ed Schwarz and Elighie Wilson.
