PSC's Annual Summer Speech Camp Open to High School Speech Team Competitors

The camp is intended to prepare high school varsity and novice speech team competitors for fall competition.

Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting the Seventeenth Annual Summer Speech Camp, Monday, July 6, through Thursday, July 16.

The camp meets from 1:15 to 5:15 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, on the college’s main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights, and is intended to prepare high school varsity and novice speech team competitors for fall competition. Week one will focus on interpretation, finding material, cutting material, discovering delivery advantages, public speaking, generating ideas and humor and citing sources. Week two will focus on practicing, polishing, and performing, as well as a performance festival and showcase that concludes the camp on the last day.

The fee is $275 per student.
