Steger's Sigaro Italiano Cigar Lounge to Open Its Doors

The enterprise will celebrate it's grand opening on Friday, October 5th.

Seeking to build on the success of the trend towards a “cigar lifestyle” partners Ron Newquist, Paul Franze, and Jimmy Hanus will be celebrating the grand opening of the Sigaro Italiano Cigar Lounge at 3501 Union Avenue in Steger on Friday, October 5th.

In hoping to replicate the classic cigar bar ambiance that has captured the favor of patrons in prestigious locations around the world, the partners have sought to create a top-flight club atmosphere that provides patrons with plushly-appointed interiors including leather sofas and chairs, big-screen televisions, air-purifiers, and a cutting-edge sound system.

The lounge will offer clients a wide array of cigars with over a thousand in stock at any given time.

“Our goal for the Sigaro Italiano Cigar Lounge is to offer our customers, especially friends and patrons of the south suburban communities, a classic cigar lounge with a family-oriented feel,” Newquist said.

“We are making every effort to embody the words that are imprinted in our business cards, ‘Arrive as a customer; leave as family,’ and look forward to welcoming friends, both old and new, to our cigar lounge.”

Cigar bars (or lounges), establishments that cater to patrons who smoke cigars, have seen an explosion in popularity since the mid- to late-1990s, primarily as a result of cities and government entities who after instituting smoking bans began providing exceptions for establishments that catered to cigar smokers.
