WOODSTOCK, IL — A Woodstock nursing home that came under fire last year due to its handling of a deadly COVID-19 outbreak is again seeing an uptick in cases. Shaw Media is reporting one person, who was in hospice care, died during the most recent outbreak.

Since Oct. 25 there's been seven employees and 17 residents test positive for coronavirus at Valley Hi Nursing Home. Information on the outbreak, obtained by Shaw Media through a Freedom of Information Act request, shows the outbreak appears to have begun with an employee testing positive in late October.
