3 Arrested In Human Trafficking Sting In McHenry Co.
The undercover sting, organized by the McHenry County State's Attorney Human Trafficking Task Force, took place in Crystal Lake in January.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Three men are charged with solicitation of a sex act following a human trafficking sting that took place in Crystal Lake in January, authorities said Friday. The men arrested as a result of the undercover operation are:
- Lawrence Allen of Algonquin
- [Name Removed] of Algonquin
- Christopher Rios of Elgin
The McHenry County State's Attorney Human Trafficking Task Force organized the undercover sting, which took part in conjunction with the national Johns Suppression Initiative, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office. During this operation, 451 Johns were arrested by 22 law enforcement agencies across the country.

The McHenry County State's Attorney Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of the Algonquin Police Department, Cary Police Department, Crystal Lake Police Department, Huntley Police Department, Illinois State Police, Lake in the Hills Police Department, McHenry City Police Department, and Woodstock Police Department,
In a statement Friday, McHenry County State's Attorney Patrick Kenneally thanked the police departments that assisted in the initiative and "continue to step up to combat the process of addressing this expansive problem throughout the county," he said.
