Adults Are Invited to Explore their Creative Side with a Crystal Lake Park District Art Program

Registration is underway for the winter session of Crystal Lake Park District art programs for adults. Register online at www.crystallakeparks.org or in person at the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake. Sew Cool (ages 10 & up)
Learn how to read a pattern and use a sewing machine. Two machines will be available for group use, but feel free to bring a machine if you have one. A supply list will be mailed out before the start of class.
Location: Admin. Bldg. Art Room, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake
Dates/Time: Saturday, January 16-30 (Pillowcase or Tote) and Saturday, February 20-March 5 (Zipper Purse), 9-11 am

Creative Crochet (ages 16 & up)
If you have ever wanted to make a crocheted afghan, scarf or sweater, this class will get you started. You will learn the basic stitches, how to read a pattern and get started on a simple project. Whether you are learning or just need to brush up on your stitches, you’re never too old for this class. All materials are provided.

Stained Glass (ages 18 & up)
A variety of beginner’s foiled stained glass patterns will be offered as project selections. Student will need to get a class list of supplies and tools from the Park District prior to the class. A class kit is available to rent. Be prepared to be inspired and to create a beautiful stained glass panel from start to finish.
Location: Grand Oaks, 1401 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake

Unfinished Craft Object Drop-In (ages 18 & up)
Come for a few hours or stay the entire day. You will need to bring your project and supplies. Sewing machines are welcome. Registration not required, pay at the door.
Location: Admin. Bldg. Board Room, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake (if you need ramp access to the building, please call Cindy Dunham, 815-459-0680, ext. 1226 no later than Noon the day before the program.

Art Attack-Sip and Paint (ages 18 & up)
Enjoy an evening of painting with friends. An 11 x 14 canvas will be completed under the guidance of the instructor. All materials provided. Bring your own beverage.
