Algonquin Motorcyclist Dies In Woodstock Crash

The collision happened Saturday morning. A 56-year-old Algonquin died in the crash.

WOODSTOCK, IL — A 56-year-old motorcyclist from Algonquin died following a crash in Woodstock Saturday morning. The collision happened at 11:49 a.m. in the area of Route 14 and south Eastwood Drive when a Ford F-150, driven by a Fox River Grove man, struck the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, whose name is not yet being released, was first taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the truck, Glen R. Lillund, has been cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection and expired driver's license, according to a news release.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash
