Armed Robber Holds Up Cary 7-Eleven

​Police are searching for the suspect in the early morning robbery.

CARY, IL – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in tracking down an armed robber who held up a 7-Eleven in Cary early Tuesday. The Cary Police Department was called to the convenience store at 296 Cary Algonquin Road at 2:06 a.m. on Tuesday. The robber entered the business and displayed a silver/white handgun while demanding money from the store clerk, authorities said.

The clerk handed over the available money in the cash register and the robber then fled on foot in an unknown direction holding a brown 7-Eleven bag containing the stolen currency, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department.

No one was injured in the early morning armed robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male who is about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and between 30 and 35 years old. He has black dot tattoos or circular dermal piercings on each side of his chin and wore square, dark frames glasses, a black leather jacket, grey sweatpants and grey shoes.

The Cary Police Department is investigating the case.
