CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Sarah Moore who nominated Pamela Savoie of Crystal Lake. Sarah works with Pamela at Revere Court in Crystal Lake where Pamela is the executive director.

  • Reason for recognition: Pam is the Executive Director, and former healthcare director, at Revere Court in Crystal Lake, a local Memory Care Community. Pam has worked tirelessly to serve our community during the Covid-19 outbreak.
  • One thing to know: Mr. Rogers said, “look to the helpers” during a crisis, and Pam is a helper by definition. She is a mother, a nurse, a community leader and a wonderful example of the tireless jobs women do in service each day in our community.
