Authorities Seize Ecstasy, Arrest 1 at Loud Party in Rural McHenry County

A Harvard man has been arrested for unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL - A $175,000 bond has been set for a 24-year-old Harvard man who faces drug charges following his arrest in rural McHenry County over the weekend.

Brandon A. Rouse has been charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with an incident early Saturday.

Deputies with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate a noise complaint in the 6700 block of Route 120 in unincorporated McHenry County Township at 1:52 a.m. Saturday, police said.
When authorities arrived, they observed Rouse attempting to conceal a controlled substance, according to a news release. An investigation revealed Rouse was in possession of MDMA, commonly referred to as ecstasy, and residual amount of cocaine.

Rouse was taken into custody without incident and taken to the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility.
As a result of the investigation, deputies seized MDMA with a street value of approximately $600. An investigation continues and more charges possible.
