Beware Of Slippery Roads This Morning: Authorities
An overnight snowfall has left area roadways snow- and slush-covered.
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is urging drivers to slow down and drive safely this morning as roadways are snow- and slush-covered. In an alert sent out by the sheriff's office at 4:15 a.m., police said overnight snowfall may lead to a longer commute this morning.
"Please drive defensively, allow ample breaking time, and remember to put down all distractions. Many of the road districts plows are out, give them space to safely work," according to the alert.
