Bruce R. MacCallum, 65

Bruce R. MacCallum, of Cary, was born March 11, 1947 in Rockford, to the late Archie and Marilyn (nee McClain) MacCallum and passed away July 22, 2012, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Bruce was the beloved husband of Ruth E.(nee Schwarz) Duda MacCallum; loving father of Michelle L. (Matthew) Powell, Andrew S. (Tricia) MacCallum, Megan A. (Patrick) Dennin, Deborah A. (James) Myers, Michael W. (Debbie) Duda and Robert C. (Sarah) Duda; cherished grandfather of Owen, Carolyn, Benjamin, Evan, Blake, Kennedy, Aaron, Kaitlyn, Sophia, William, Jeremiah, Lucas and Haley.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday July 27, 2012, at Querhammer-Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Avenue Crystal Lake, IL.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday July 28, 2012, at 9:15 AM and continue to St. Mark's Episcopal Church 337 Ridge Road Barrington Hills for funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.

Bruce will be remembered as a man of many talents; chemist, chef, fisherman, avid reader, gardener, history buff, musician, but most of all for the love and joy he brought to all our lives.
