Cars Egged in Cary; Parks, School Damaged: Police

Authorities are asking for the public's help to track down those responsible for criminal defacing property and egging cars.

CARY, IL -- The Cary Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying those responsible for egging cars and causing damage at local parks and a school. On the evening of July 30, several areas were
"criminally defaced" at Candlewood Park, Carl Sands Park, Sherwood Baseball Field Building and Trinity Oaks School, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department. The next evening, several cars were hit with eggs in the areas of Laurel Lane and Ridgewood Drive.

At least on of those vehicles sustained possible damage to its paint from the egg residue and after it sat in the direct sunlight, police said.

The Cary Police Department is asking anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to report it as soon
as possible.
