Cars, Trucks, Boats Damaged In Johnsburg Blaze
The fire broke out Wednesday night and was found toward the rear of several businesses.

MCHENRY, IL -- A fire in Johnsburg Wednesday night damaged 12 different cars, trucks, boats and travel trailers, fire official said. Firefighters were called to the 4000 block of Pioneer Road in Johnsburg at 7:48 p.m. for a report of a fire with explosions. The blaze was found toward the rear of several businesses about 500 feet off the road, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District.
A MABAS box alarm was requested, bringing out firefighters from 16 different departments, since the fire was in a rural area without fire hydrants, according to fire officials. The blaze was brought under control in 15 minutes and was extinguished in 40 minutes.
There was no damage to any structures. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. A damage estimate is not available at this time and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, fire officials said.
