Stamford Bridge Football Club: A Few Openings Remain for Teams

Stamford Bridge Football Club

Stamford Bridge Football Club is a youth soccer club based in Cary. 

The club began in November 2011 when a group of recreation players and coaches wanted more competition without having to pay high soccer fees.

The original 26 players comprised two girls teams, a U13 and U14 team.

With an incredible amount of time and effort, the club got off the ground kicking. Organizers secured insurance, practice fields, game fields, equipment, uniforms, coaching licenses and other infrastructure-based items such as a website, phone and email addresses.

In Spring 2012, the SBFC U14s won all eight games and finished first in their Division (*D* North), and the U13 team won five and tied three games to finish second in its Division  (*D* North).

After the high school soccer season ended, SBFC added a girls U16 team, which promptly won its division (*C* North) and also won the U16/U17 indoor division over winter at LBFH.

Tryouts in June added a U11, U12, U13 Girls and a U12 Boys team.

The U11s and U12s girls finished second in their Division (*D* North) and the U13s finished in third place (*D* North).

The U12 boys won nine games and tied one game to finish first  in the YSSL Division.

The U14s tied for first in their Division (*D* North) and the U15s won their Division (*C* North).

U14s are currently in first in their U13/14 Division at LBFH.

This winter 2012, SBFC added a U10 girls team.

The U10/U11/U12 girls were the first groups to partake in the Winter Futsal program.

Few Openings Remaining

Due to explosive growth Stamford Bridge is currently seeking a few more recreational U10 players to form a U10 team and a couple more U11 and or U12 to make additional teams. Contact SBFC now for more information.
