Cary Moves Forward With Plans for New Metra Station
The project could cost between $2.5 and $3 million.
CARY, IL - The village of Cary is moving forward with a plan to tear down its existing Metra station on the outbound side of the tracks and construct a new station on the inbound side, the Northwest Herald reports.
The project, which will include a fully-enclosed building with a ticket booth, will cost between $2.5 and $3 million--with $2 million of that funding expected to come from a federal grant, according to the article. A contract for an architect to draft plans for the proposed improvements is expected to come before the Cary Village Board soon.
