Cary Physical Therapy Continues Crusade against Osteoporosis

Cary, IL - Owners of Cary Physical Therapy and Gulbrandson Orthotics LTD, along with their staff, have become experts in treating patients with osteoporosis and osteopenia through their "Midwest Center for Osteoporosis". A comprehensive approach is taken in teaching these patient safe strategies to exercise and in general, how to live a normal productive lifestyle while living with osteoporosis.

Deb and Gil Gulbrandson taught a two-day seminar at the Pacific Medical Centers in Seattle Washington, Oct 8 – 9th. Included in attendees were physical therapists, occupational therapists and their assistants.

Jennifer Schaffer, has been a physical therapist at Cary Physical Therapy for over 25 years. Schaffer recently taught three free separate "Bone Health" classes in the Cary/Crystal Lake area, teaching those who attended what they can do to prevent further bone loss and injury.

Osteoporosis is a silent disease. "As we age, we do not feel our bones getting weaker. Bones can have compression fractures without causing immediate pain. Fortunately, there is something you can do about it and you can do it safely" says Schaffer.
