Bad Brakes to Blame For Truck Rolling Into Fox River: Police
Defective brakes are to blame for the truck rolling into the river, police told the Northwest Herald.

CARY, IL – There was no one driving a truck that ended up on the bottom of the Fox River in Cary last week, police told the Northwest Herald. The truck, which apparently had defective brakes rolled into the river near Cary Street and Mildred Avenue, leading authorities to respond at about 7:30 a.m. on July 1 after receiving a report of tire tracks leading down to the water. A vehicle recovery company pulled the truck from the river.
And while it was determined no one drove the vehicle into the river, authorities did find a case of beer in the passenger seat of the truck, according to the Northwest Herald.
