Today's high is set to hit 88 degrees with sunshine and 1 percent chance of rain. And for those looking to plan ahead for the weekend, here is a look at forecast for the coming days.

And for those needing to fill up their tank amid still soaring gas prices, here are the gas stations with the lowest prices as of early Thursday morning:

• Sam's Club, 5670 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake: $5.37
• Amoco, 339 W. Virginia St. in Crystal Lake: $5.49
• Mariano's, 105 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake: $5.49
• Murphy USA, 985 Central Park Drive in Crystal Lake: $5.53
• Thornton's, 911 Tek Drive in Crystal Lake: $5.55

EVENTS PLANNED FOR TODAY

• Summer in the Park festival in Woodstock runs Thursday through Sunday. Here's what's happening today:
  • Vendor Fair until 8 p.m.
  • Balloon creations from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Movie in the Park, "The Mitchells VS The Machines," at dusk with free popcorn.
• Concert in Lions Park in Cary will get underway at 7 p.m.; "Hillbilly Rockstarz" will perform.
• Free yoga in the park from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. at Kaper Park in Cary. The event is meant for ages 10 to 18 years old. You can register here.

• Trail rides for seniors through the Crystal Lake Park District on Saturday
• McHenry County Conservation District "botany bits" event for ages 5 years old and older on Saturday
