Embrace your appreciation of the outdoors and McHenry County’s wide open spaces at the 2nd annual special event, The Great Outdoors Beer Trail, on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area, 1520 Crystal Lake Road in Cary. Event goers can walk the one mile partially wooded, paved path while visiting various regional brewers along the trail.

There will be music by Jaik Willis and games of bags or horseshoes along the way. Fixin’ up some great eats on site will be food trucks by Toasty Cheese, Best Trucking BBQ, and AJz Kettle Corn.

“This is a great way for the Conservation District to reach new audiences in a unique way who may enjoy the outdoors, but are not familiar with the great conservation areas and open spaces we have here in McHenry County,” said Education Program Coordinator. “This is the second year of the event that is designed as a fundraiser for the District to help support future outdoor recreational amenities. We hope to see the event grow each year.”
