Creative Living Series: author historian Andrew Carroll on Nov 17

Here Is Where: Discovering America's Great Forgotten History at the Woodstock Opera House

Andrew Carroll has journeyed across America by car, train, plane, helicopter, bus, bike, kayak and on foot to find the unmarked historic sites where extraordinary events occurred. Carroll is an author, editor, activist, and historian. From inventions to deaths to body snatching - through conspiracies, scandals, tragedies and triumphs - Carroll demonstrates that what we know as "history" is only a small cross-section of the past.

Carroll's talk on Nov 17 is part of the Creative Living Series sponsored by the Woodstock Fine Arts Association, now in its 53rd season. Attendees are invited for coffee and conversation beginning at 9 a.m. and Carroll takes the stage at 10 a.m. at the Woodstock Opera House.

Tickets are $25 from the box office at (815) 338-5300 or at www.woodstockoperahouse.com
