CRYSTAL LAKE, IL—For the last 25 years, Gary Bonick has pulled double duty. By day he runs his Allstate agency helping customers and residents with insurance solutions for their household. At night and on the weekends, you’ll find Bonick collecting donations for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and Turning Point.
Bonick is currently a board member at Turning Point and also volunteers collecting thousands of dollars in supplies for clients of the agency, helping to keep them safe from domestic violence.
In recognition for his stewardship, leadership and passionate commitment to the Crystal Lake Chamber, Turning Point and the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, Bonick has been selected to receive the Pride in Crystal Lake Award. This award is presented quarterly to a business, organization or individual who has exhibited "pride in Crystal Lake."

“I am truly honored to receive this award,” said Bonick. “I got involved with the Crystal Lake Chamber, Crystal Lake Food Pantry and Turning Point to give back to the community that me and my family have been so blessed to live in. I wanted to do my part to help others because I feel if we all just give a little of our time, talent, and treasure we can make a difference.”
