Crystal Lake Home Destroyed In Weekend Blaze
The fire broke out Saturday morning at a home in the 9300 block of Firth Court.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Crystal Lake home has been deemed uninhabitable following a blaze in Crystal Lake Saturday morning.
The Crystal Lake Fire and Rescue Department was called to the fire at a one-story, single-family home in the 9300 block of Firth Court at about 6 a.m., according to a news release. No one was inside the home at the time of the blaze.
The home sustained significant heat and smoke damage and appears to have "burned itself out." The residence was deemed uninhabitable, and the blaze caused an estimated $250,000 in damage, according to a news release.

No one was injured in the fire, and the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined. The fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal, Crystal Lake Fire Department and the Lakewood Police Department.
