Crystal Lake Man With Coronavirus Dies: Health Officials
The cause of death for the man, who was in his 70s, is still being determined.
The McHenry County Department of Health and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that a 70-year-old Crystal Lake man who tested positive for coronavirus has died, local health officials said. Health officials are working with the coroner’s office to determine the man’s official cause of death, according to a news release from the McHenry County Health Department.
“Our hearts go out to this family at their time of loss,” said Public Health Administrator Melissa Adamson. “The health and safety of our community is our number one priority.”
At this time, there are 25 confirmed COVID-19 cases in McHenry County.

Susan Karras, Public Health Nursing director, states that she expects the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to increase as the virus continues to spread.
