Crystal Lake Man Faces Child Porn Charges

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 29-year-old Crystal Lake man faces several possession of child pornography charges following a search of his home Friday morning. Christopher Rivera was taken into custody following an investigation by the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Local police searched Rivera's home in the 700 block of Concord Drive at about 6:30 a.m. on Friday and arrested him, according to a news release from the police department. Rivera has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, which is a Class 2 felony.

Rivera is being held at the McHenry County Jail on a $150,000 bond. He is next expected in court on Aug. 14.

Additional charges of possession of child pornography are pending, according to a news release.
