Crystal Lake Park District Ice Fishing Derby Cancelled
Look for the event to return in 2020
After careful review and consideration, the Crystal Lake Park District has made the decision to cancel this year’s Ice Fishing Derby (Sun, February 10) at West Beach. The safety of our participants is of top concern. The guidelines put forth by our Risk Management Agency do not allow for an event on the ice of ANY TYPE under the current ice conditions.
It will not be rescheduled this year but plans are to move forward with offering the event in 2020 as we not only had great public support but outstanding support from our sponsors.
