Crystal Lake Police Blotter: DUIs, Battery Arrests
A look at recent arrests made by the Crystal Lake Police Department.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The following information comes from the Crystal Lake Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the McHenry County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
Jorge Luis Dorantes, 49, of the 100 block of Dartmoor Drive in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 16 and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $1,000 and he was released from custody. He is next expected in custody on Nov. 13.

Darek R. Kedra, 52, of Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 23 and charged with two counts of domestic battery. Kedra was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
James L. Fillinger, 63, of the 5000 block of McCullom Lake Road in McHenry, was arrested on Sept. 23 and charged with two counts of driving under the influence and illegal possession/transport liquor. Fillinger was released from custody and is next expected in court on Nov. 10.

Jennifer Carbajal, 18, of the 4900 block of Drive In Lane, was arrested on Sept. 23 and charged with retail theft/displaying merchandise. She is next expected in court on Nov. 17.
Steven Victor, 52, of the 1100 block of Palmer Court in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with retail theft/displaying merchandise. His is next expected in court on Sept. 24.
Edward James Flood, 32, of the 500 block of Skyridge Drive in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with battery/cause bodily harm. His bond was set at $1,500 and he is next expected in court on Nov. 10.
Brandon E. Boshers, 39, of Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 28 and charged with domestic battery/physical contact and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Boshers was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
