Crystal Lake Police Host National Night Out Tuesday at Three Oaks Recreation Area
There will be plenty of fun events happening at Three Oaks Recreation Area in Crystal Lake on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - The Crystal Lake Police Department will host National Night Out events on Tuesday evening at Three Oaks Recreation Area.
National Night Out is celebrated annually the first Tuesday of August. The goal of NNO is to promote crime prevention and safety programs, strengthen police-community partnerships and encourage neighborhood camaraderie in hopes for a safer McHenry County and America.
NNO “America’s Night Against Crime” began in 1984 and is celebrated in all 50 states.

The Crystal Lake Police Department will host this year’s National Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m. at Three Oaks, 5517 Northwest Highway.
This year's event is striving to be one of the best ever with lots of fun activities and gift bags giveaways while supplies last. Free parking will be available after 4:30 p.m. Below are some of the events that will be taking place at this year’s event:

- K-9 Demo
- Coffee With The Chief at 6 p.m. with a guest speaker to address Graduated Driver's License laws and Back to School Safety. R.S.V.P to Officer Ed Pluviose 815-356-3731 or by e-mail at epluviose@crystallake.org for seating
- Martial Arts/Fitness Demo
- Several Police Cars on Display for Touch a Truck
- Monster Truck bouncy
