Crystal Lake Police Investigate Stabbing

Two men were stabbed during an incident in the 1300 block of Parkridge Court on Saturday morning.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred over the weekend in the 1300 block of Parkridge Court. Authorities initially responded to the area at about 6:27 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a disturbance.

While on their way to the area, authorities learned several people had left the scene. When they arrived, officers found two men with stab wounds walking near the 500 block of Carlemont Drive, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

A 31-year-old Crystal Lake man had stab wounds to his abdomen, back and leg, and a 24-year-old Lake in the Hills man had cuts to his face and hands, according to police. Those accused of stabbing the men fled the scene before police arrived,

Paramedics responded but the men refused treatment. One of the men later took himself to the hospital where he remains.

Authorities believed the incident was isolated and that the victims and offenders knew each other, according to the news release. There is no danger to the public, police said.
