The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns. The Crystal Lake Police Department will participate in such campaigns in the future, and encourages motorists to buckle up their seatbelts every time-every trip, don’t use cellphones or other electronic communication devices unless hands-free, and never drive intoxicated.
