Crystal Lake Woman Charged In Drug Bust
Authorities charged three for selling heroin and prescription pills in McHenry County, police said.

MCHENRY, IL –A 31-year-old Crystal Lake woman is among three in custody following an investigation into drug activity reported at an apartment in McHenry, police said Friday. Stephanie Phillippi and two other men are accused of selling heroin and prescription pills and were all arrest Thursday following an investigation the McHenry County Sheriff's Police Narcotics Task Force, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Among those arrested was Chrisopher Cappello, 32, of the Lake Geneva, Wis., after he was pulled over. Authorities stopped him as he came from the area where the suspected drug activity was originally reported – which was at an apartment in the 3900 block of Main Street in McHenry, police said.
Police said they found 88 bags of heroin and eight clonazepam pills, as well as drug paraphernalia, hidden in Capello's vehicle, according to the news release.

He is being held without bond and is charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities also pulled over Dioan MacMeekin, 33, in the area of the McHenry apartment. They allegedly found needles, heroin bags, cocaine bags and cash on him, according to the news release. Phillippi was a passenger in his vehicle. They found 111 tramadol hydrochloride pills and two clonazepam pills on her.
Bond was set at $45,000 for MacMeekin. He remained in custody as of Friday evening, according to online jail records. Bond was set at $20,000 for Phillippi and she has since been released from custody.
Authorities also searched the Main Street apartment in McHenry. There they recovered needles and empty residue baggies "that matched the types of bags recovered from all the traffic stops," police said.
Detectives allegedly recovered nine grams of heroin, 0.2 grams of cocaine, 10 clonazepam pills, 11 tramadolhydrochloride pills, multiple needles, multiple residue bags, packaging materials and $743 in currency. The total street value of the narcotics seized was about $1,200.
Capello is next expected in court on Saturday. MacMeekin is next expected in court on Oct. 19 and Phillippi is expected in court on Oct. 25.
