Cunningham Speaks Out In Jailhouse Interview

The 36-year-old Crystal Lake mom accused of killing 5-year-old A.J. Freund shared her thoughts in an interview with CBS 2 Chicago.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL —“I would rather kill myself than hurt my children. I would rather kill myself than hurt anybody,” JoAnn Cunningham said tearfully over the phone from the McHenry County Jail.

Cunningham and her ex-boyfriend, Andrew “Drew” Freund stand accused of murdering their 5-year-old son, Andrew “AJ” Freund.
