D155 Schools to Close Wednesday, Thursday
The school district has also cancelled after school activities:
Crystal Lake’s District 155 has announced schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday due to the extreme cold temps expected for the area. Also, after-school activities and evening events are cancelled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
A wind chill warning issued by the National Weather Service will take effect Tuesday night and continue through Thursday morning.

District 155 schools are expected to open and be ready for staff and students on Friday, February 1, when the forecast and temperatures return to seasonal averages, school officials said.
